Ahh, love is in the air, and with Valentine’s Day less than a week away I thought it best to share my staple date-night look. For us working busybodies, date night is an extremely special day. It’s a day to turn off the phone, leave the stress at home, strap on your heels and take on the town! Emin and I love date night, and we make it a point to enjoy one upscale outing a month.

Over the years-and after many, many dates-I’ve learned one cardinal rule when dressing for the evening: Never underestimate the power of a Little Black Dress! The right LBD can tell your date more than you will ever know! It’s timeless and chic, yet subtly sexy. I was able to find the perfect Metaphor black dress at searsStyle, and I wore it for my most recent date night with Emin. I love the tasteful V neckline both in the front and back, and that the hemline ended mid-calf. I also purchased a Bongo faux-fur vest from searsStyle to layer and gold stud earrings to match.
